Dreaming of the Sing Off, Glee, or just want to get ready for College A Cappella?

The Festival Delivers...

This is what some past participants had to say about it...

The Festival of Harmony (FoH) is awesome! I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to barbershop harmony than the FoH.

As a student, you are taught how to really polish the songs by a top level quartet, who provides valuable experience as well as a fun and thrilling atmosphere. Just like at Regionals & All-State, we learn the songs on our own before coming in so we don't waste time. To make it easy, we have both mp3s as well as the music to learn from.

In just one day at the FoH, I learned so much about barbershop as well as singing in general. The valuable lessons I learned about vocal production and stage presence has helped me not only in barbershop but through all types of a cappella singing, including my college a cappella group.

The FoH is also a great way to meet new friends; I am still singing with friends from the FoH. Although it's an all day event, time flies.

The schedule is broken up in a way that allows for a high level of performance without long tedious rehearsals, as well as a free dinner before the performance; you don't need to worry about blowing out your voice.

During the show at night, the songs are performed by everyone as a chorus as well as individual performances that allow you to showcase your group's talents. Both throughout the day as well as at night, the two teaching quartets give performances that expose us to what makes the style so exciting. I wouldn't miss this for the world. It's an amazing experience. - Alex McCoy and Ryan Brown
