FESTIVAL OF HARMONY

Saturday, May 8, 2010

10:00 Registration – Sign in and order lunch if needed

10:30 Welcome and Introductions – Teaching quartets sing

11:00 Vocal warmups followed by ensemble work (girls) and section rehearsals (boys)

12:00 LUNCH – Students may either bring bagged lunches or order pizza

12:30 Ensemble work (boys) and section rehearsals (girls)

1:30 Building the vocal product and enhancing the performance with visual plans and characterization. (A fifteen minute stretch break will be included during these sessions, during which teaching quartets will perform.)

3:30 Break / snack

3:45 Combined choruses to rehearse finale – ‘Let Freedom Ring / America the Beautiful’

4:15 Polishing the performance

5:15 DINNER – Free buffet for participants

6:15 Final prep time

 

7:00 SHOW TIME! - Free and Open to the Public
